We've had a pair of cardinals hanging out together on the extended perch every morning, and the extra width makes it so they're not jostling for a spot. It's been great for getting a clear group shot of the finches before they scatter.
The extra perch space is perfect for when the jays show up—they used to scare off everything else, but now three of them can crowd on at once without fighting over the feeder. Great for getting those group shots I've been after.
I was a little worried the sturdiness wouldn’t hold up, but it’s solid even with a few hefty visitors crowding on. Now I’ve got cardinals and blue jays eating side by side, and the group photo opportunity is exactly what I hoped for.
